Dual Circles, Dual Colors

As an architect and artist, Ms. Wei MIN draws upon her emotional memories from Morocco and the faded hues of relationships, as well as the interplay of light and introspection from the Luis Barragán House and Studio in Mexico. Through relational art, she explores the infinite connections between people and objects, creating a series of works inspired by the Möbius strip, titled 2C2C Double Circles Dual Colors. In her creations, color becomes a vital medium for conveying emotions and memories, acting as an invisible bridge.

Wei MING

Wei MIN was born and raised in Shanghai, China, and graduated from the Department of Architecture at the College of Fine Arts, Shanghai University. After entering the workforce, she devoted herself to the field of architectural design. Passionate about art and cross-disciplinary culture, she is currently the General Manager of SPARKS China, an international architectural design firm.

The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 brought the world to a standstill, but also gave her the time to pick up the paintbrush again. She began incorporating the architectural colors she loves and the aesthetic experiences from her travels into her paintings. This led to the birth of her ‘Dual Circles, Dual Colors’ painting series.
